Something like this is what I had in mind.
After scouring the internet and stores, and being told by a sales person I probably would have trouble finding any due to my size which is a narrow, I decided there weren't any available. The ones I had tried on were too tall, or too wide and were awkward to walk in.
To get what I wanted, I probably would have to get them custom made or pay $$$, which I really didn't want to do. I was okay with not finding any, and told myself I could live without boots. I knew my expectations were high, but I wouldn't be happy with something different than what I had in mind.
Last Friday, after work, I stopped by Mega Thrift in Winston-Salem to look at their clothing. I wasn't planning on looking at the shoes, and had forgotten about the boots I wanted, but I wandered to that side of the store, and looked at the shoes that were in my size. There, sitting on the shelf, I saw these brown boots. I tried them on and they were perfect! Just my size and not too tall, and the best part of all - the price $5.99!
All of my specifications were right there:
- Leather Upper
- Made in Brazil (not China)
- Size 6 1/2
A not-so-great self photo of boots on me.
I am so thankful that Jesus knows our desires and gives us blessings! Every time I wear these, I'll remember that Jesus loves me and cares about little things.
That's just like Jesus, to give the desires of our hearts, in His time and in His way! I imagine that your mama has added this to her Gratitude Journal! So happy for you!!!❤
ReplyDeleteUncle Buddy Robinson once said, "The Lord knowed my size!!" I love His handfuls on purpose!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Darla--those boots are in my Gratitude Journal! It's such a beautiful example of God's love and care for His children.
