Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, Greensboro, NC - 5/12/26

 

My last visit to Guilford Courthouse National Military Park in Greensboro was in 2010. I wanted to go this year with it being the 250th anniversary. 

Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered the Visitor Center is not open on Monday and Tuesday.  

Hoskins Farm is located on the property. 

 

The farm property has two picnic tables where we ate our packed lunches beneath a magnolia tree.

The Arthur Forbis Monument is the oldest in the park.

Reynolda House - Camel City: Tobacco and Transformation - 11/20/2025

A late November, on a whim day visit to Reynolda House with my sister allowed us to see the Christmas decorations before the busy holidays started. 

 

This picture, designed and worked by Mary Reynolds Babcock, shows the family tree of her and her husband.  It is displayed in the attic of the house.
